We are currently seeking a Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) for a start-up in Berlin, for direct hire.

Location: Berlin (preferred) or remote (CET) with regular meetings in Berlin.

Our client, a start-up in Berlin, is driving the transition to a circular economy in the fashion sector. They develop high-tech solutions for sorting used textiles (B2B). Using AI, data science, and optics, they enable textile sorters to make better decisions for reuse, repair, upcycling, and recycling. After four years of research with leading partners and the Technical University of Berlin, they are now bringing their technologies to market. As a spin-off, they are looking for new team members who share their passion for developing products that minimize waste and reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using VueJS.
• Utilize JavaScript effectively, including browser-specific APIs for controlling camera streams and external devices.
• Maintain and improve a custom UI library built on top of PrimeVue and Tailwind.
• Ensure website compatibility, responsiveness, and readability across different screen sizes.
• Collaborate with designers to build UI components (custom or using PrimeVue).
• Work with the product team to ensure that ticket requirements align with technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with backend developers to design and integrate necessary APIs.
• Conduct pull request reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and have a voice in how the team and organisation is run.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development cycles.

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) skilled in Javascript to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications using your expert JS knowledge and VueJS. 

You will collaborate closely with the development team which includes AI and machine learning experts, software engineers, UX/UI design and product specialists to help us create seamless user experiences and ensure the optimal performance across various devices and browsers.

OUR TECH STACK

Frontend: VueJS, Pinia, Vite,Tailwind, PrimeVue, Storybook

Backend: Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD

• Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience working with VueJS
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience collaborating with designers and backend developers.
• Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working with agile methodologies and the ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Good communication skills (in English) and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Storybook for component development and documentation.
• Experience with Pinia,Vite, Tailwind, and PrimeVue.
