We are currently seeking a Product Owner (m/f/d) with Team Coaching Skills for a start-up in Berlin, for direct hire.
Location: Berlin (preferred) or remote (CET) with regular meetings in Berlin.
Our client, a start-up in Berlin, is driving the transition to a circular economy in the fashion sector. They develop high-tech solutions for sorting used textiles (B2B). Using AI, data science, and optics, they enable textile sorters to make better decisions for reuse, repair, upcycling, and recycling. After four years of research with leading partners and the Technical University of Berlin, they are now bringing their technologies to market. As a spin-off, they are looking for new team members who share their passion for developing products that minimize waste and reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES...
Product & Development Coordination
- Join customer meetings to gain insights into their needs.
- Define the product roadmap and deliverables.
- Balance priorities between urgent and long-term strategic tasks.
- Translate customer needs and desired product features for the team.
Agile Management & Process Optimization
- Write, manage and refine epics and their related tickets.
- Oversee and track the overall development plan, ensuring milestones are met.
- Conduct and moderate sprint plannings, retrospectives and team meetings.
- Maintain a tension inbox to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure timekeeping, workflow efficiency, and alignment with company goals.
Team Coaching & Growth
- Collaborate with the team to ensure an environment where the team can develop skills and collaborate effectively.
- Coach and support team members in regular 1:1 meetings.
- Work closely with the founding team to nurture team culture and values.
- Facilitate key meetings.
- Assist in hiring and onboarding.

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner (m/f/d) with Team Coaching Skills to join and support our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and structuring our development efforts, including planning milestones, managing tickets, balancing team capacity, and guiding the execution of strategic initiatives.
As we expand our established team over the coming months, this role presents a unique opportunity to help shape team structure and processes. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and productive work environment–one where every team member feels empowered,valued, and able to make a meaningful impact.
REQUIREMENTS...
- Experience as a Product Owner (m/f/d).
- Experience in coaching software development teams.
- Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, or similar).
- Willingness to immerse into and in textile sorting and circular economy challenges.
- Openness to adapt to changes and proactivity to create and maintain structures.
- Excellent communication skills (English) and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Holacracy or similar self-organized management frameworks.
